Bluebird Labs was founded by Cherry and Andrew Ward — a leadership expert and a technologist who decided to build the tools they couldn't find anywhere else. We combine deep expertise in how people learn, lead, and grow with the technical capability to build solutions that genuinely adapts to diverse minds.

Our story
We started as Bluebird Leadership in 2020, built on Cherry's 20+ years of human development expertise and a conviction that leadership development should work with how people actually think — not force them into a template.
In 2025, we evolved into Bluebird Labs - adding Andrew's 20+ years of data science, machine learning, and AI engineering to build the technology that puts that conviction into practice. The result is a company that sits at the intersection of deep human expertise and serious technical capability, building products that neither of us could have built alone.
Today we operate three labs — Development, Leadership, and Innovation — each at a different stage of turning that shared purpose into working technology and lasting partnerships.

Cherry Ward | Co-Founder & CEO
Cherry has spent over 20 years working with senior leaders and organisations across Australia and globally - helping them navigate complexity, build high-performing cultures, and lead with clarity in uncertain conditions.
Her journey from Myanmar to leading global teams has shaped a distinctive perspective on leadership, cognitive diversity, and the importance of building systems that adapt to people. That perspective now drives the product direction of everything Bluebird Labs builds.

Andrew Ward | Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Andrew brings 20+ years of full-stack technical expertise to Bluebird Labs - spanning data science, analytics, machine learning, AI engineering, and platform architecture. He is responsible for all technical delivery across every product in the portfolio.
Andrew's personal experience with neurodivergent thinking is embedded in the design philosophy of every platform he builds - ensuring the technology genuinely understands and adapts to different cognitive styles rather than accommodating them as an afterthought.
His commitment to ethical AI development ensures our technology enhances human potential while maintaining the authentic connection that drives real transformation.
Our name Bluebird comes from the bluebird day - that rare moment of perfect conditions when everything is clear and the path ahead opens up. It's what we're building towards for every person who uses our technology: the conditions where their particular way of thinking stops being a barrier and starts being an advantage.
